17.11.10 Milan cross Interlaken

now at milan. time for some shopping before we cross the border in the afternoon to interlaken, switzerland. yes, it will be snow time.

Milan Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Milano) is the cathedral church of Milan in Lombardy, northern Italy.




the Gothic cathedral took five centuries to complete. It is the largest Gothic cathedral and the second largest Catholic cathedral in the world.

wiki info: the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a covered double arcade formed of two glass-vaulted arcades at right angles intersecting in an octagon, prominently sited on the northern side of the Piazza del Duomo in Milan, named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of united Italy.

this indoor street is covered over by an arching glass and cast iron roof, a popular design for nineteenth-century arcades.

now, we are crossing the border to enter Switzerland.  we will staying 2 nights at Interlaken.

yes, we are all so excited. this is really beautiful. we just simply have to do a stopover to take photos. this view is so much prettier than my experience in japan.
