i love europe. the thought of visiting europe is a dream comes true.

its been some years since we got to travel as a couple (happily without the kids). so this 2nd honeymoon to italy, switzerland & france is great.

the thought of planning for F&E seems too much, and so we have opt to travel via tour package instead (12 days with SA Tours)

its emirates (with a transit at dubai), our 1st stop is rome.
it's around 1pm, and the tour begins.

we drove pass the colosseum. will be checking out there tomorrow.  

meanwhile, 1st stop to the spanish steps located at piazza di spagna.

Obelisco Sallustiano, one of the many obelisks in Rome, moved here in 1789.

below the spanish steps, you see rows of branded shops - Gucci, LV, Prada & many more.

at the base of Piazza is the Early Baroque fountain called Fontana della Barcaccia ("Fountain of the Old Boat"), built in 1627-29.

from Piazza di Spagna, its a 5 minutes walk to reach Trevi Fountain.

its getting dark, and frankly everyone is tired after the long flight.  transfer to hotel for rest and get ready for the rome & vatican city tour tomorrow.
