19.11.10 Mount Pilatus

after a good rest yesterday, woke up and open the window.  my room is facing this mountain. apparently, there is a restaurant/cafe at mountain top. the star is shining.

rise and shine...the view outside (on the streets).  its quiet in the morning.  peaceful.

today, we will leave interlaken.  first stop will be mount pilatus.  afternoon, we will proceed to lucerne.

there are two cables to reach the top, a small 4 person gondola from Kriens to Fräkmüntegg and a large 40 person cable car to Pilatus-Kulm.

We've arrived at the foot of Mount Pilatus.

We started to see less of the greenery and more of the snow.

Finally, its only snow. More traveling up the mountain.

after fooling around, we continue the journey up the mountain.  saw a white church at a obscure location on the mountain.  pretty site, but wonder how do people travel there @@

finally, we arrived at the top.  not a pretty site on top (coz there are renovation works going on).

wiki info: Pilatus is a mountain near Lucerne, Switzerland.  legend has it in late medieval times a dragon was said to live on the mountain.

activities on the top of pilatus involve walking around the peak, through the carved-out cave view tunnel called the Dragon Walk cut through the mountain stone, to short climbs to nearby peaks.

for this trip to switzerland, get to 'climb' 2 mountains.  had a wonderful time and great experience with snow. definitely one of the best moments for this trip.

next stop, we're going to lucerne. see u ^^
